Hopefully he can start scoring a lot of goals, and then you can ask me this in a few weeks and hopefully it can be positive then, too.”He has not surprised me. He knows he can improve – so he will work hard. His strength maybe is to hold the ball.” last_img read more

ESPN’s Bowl Projection For LSU Heading Into Conference Championship Weekend

(Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)After a tough, controversial loss to Texas A&M this past Saturday night, LSU finished the 2018 season with a 9-3 record. So where are the Tigers headed for their bowl game? That might depend on how the SEC title game between Alabama and Georgia plays out this Saturday. If the Bulldogs win and both teams are somehow part of the College Football Playoff, LSU will move up the pecking order for SEC bowl teams. If Alabama wins, Georgia likely winds up in the Sugar Bowl. LSU and Florida are the next two best options.ESPN’s two analysts differ on where they think LSU will wind up. Kyle Bonagura sees the Tigers playing Penn State in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.Mitch Sherman sees LSU winding up in a New Year’s Six game. He thinks the Tigers will take on Michigan in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona. While both are high-quality games, obviously, the Fiesta Bowl carries more weight.LSU had a solid season, but losses against Florida, Alabama and Texas A&M kept them from being part of the national title conversation. We’ll know LSU’s bowl situation on Sunday.last_img read more

He’s already been mentioned as a fit in Green Bay and Cleveland. In a recent interview with ESPN, Harbaugh stated he wants to stay at Michigan. Program insider John U. So, unless you hear it from Harbaugh himself, or a reputable source like @SamWebb77, freely discard it. These only come up every five seconds, since he returned. https://t.co/gVkxAAy1fM— John U. Bacon (@Johnubacon) December 24, 2018Harbaugh has taken Michigan to within one game of the Big Ten East title in two of the last three seasons, only to fall to Ohio State. Those losses not only cost them a shot at a conference crown, but eliminated them from College Football Playoff contention as well.It makes sense that a franchise like the Jets, which needs some stability and gravitas as it looks to build around franchise quarterback Sam Darnold, would turn to Harbaugh. He would give them an instant boost in credibility. However, if Harbaugh’s own words are to be believed, it seems unlikely that New York or any team can get him to leave Ann Arbor right now.last_img read more

We did everything we could and we had plenty of chances.”Ronaldo is the all time leading scorer in the Champions League with 127 goals, holds the record for the most goals in a single Champions League season, is Real Madrid’s all time highest scorer and Portugal’s most capped player and record scorer. The first five goals of Ronaldo career were scored for Portugal’s Sporting in 2002-03.He then scored 118 goals in 232 appearances during six seasons with Manchester United and, remarkably, averaged over a goal a game for Real Madrid, scoring 450 in 438 appearances over the course of nine seasons. In just over one season with his current club Juventus, he notched a further 32 goals in 51 matches.advertisementDespite the defeat, Portugal remained second in Group G with 11 points from six games, one ahead of Serbia, and will qualify for Euro 2020 if they win their remaining matches, at home to Lithuania and away to Luxemburg.”We played too much with our hearts and not enough with our heads,” said coach Fernando Santos. Also Read | Bulgarian PM wants resignation of Football Union head after England match debacleAlso see:For sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports. Worn Out Wednesday – James Morrissey

first_imgToday we speak to hospitality guru James Morrissey. When Irish entrepreneur James Morrissey moved to Manhattan in 2013, he arrived with more business savvy and experience than most newcomers. Now, two years in and just 28-years-old, James has officially added “restaurateur” to his resume with the success of The Late Late Bar & Spirit Grocer.James began his career in Ireland while still in university, setting up The Signature Group, which remains one of the country’s largest nightlife events and marketing companies. Ever in pursuit of his next venture, James moved to Manhattan to bring what he calls “constructive disruption” to the New York hospitality industry. In 2014 James opened The Late Late Bar & Spirit Grocer of New York in the trendy lower east side of Manhattan. The Late Late is a purposefully subtle, Irish-inspired local bar named after the longest running TV talk show in the world. Unlike the Irish pubs peppered throughout Manhattan, James wanted to bring a little bit of the real modern Ireland to the city. James partnered up with friend Rob Ackroyd (lead guitarist with UK music group Florence & The Machine) to create a chilled lower east side hangout with great music, which Rob curates. With regulars such as Jeremy Piven, Fallout Boy, LA Reid and One Direction, James prides himself on maintaining a low-key bar that focuses on great drinks, great food, great music, and even better company.Though he now splits his time between New York and Ireland, James has some projects up his sleeve that will keep him stateside for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, he’ll be planning summer weekends in Montauk and The Hamptons to relax before he comes up with his next business venture. Here James tells us more about his personal style:Jeans: Ralph Lauren Black LabelShirts: Calvin Klein White Shirts.. Europe’s 4 most wallet-friendly destinations in the wake of Brexit

first_img The Ultimate Pillow Guide: The 6 Best Pillows for All Sleepers Britain’s vote to abscond from the European Union sparked a stark devaluing of the pound (it’s near 30-year lows!) and even the Euro against the American dollar. Whichever side of the Brexit debate you fall on, this downturn has brought a bevy of dirt-cheap European vacation options to travelers. Here are four destinations where your dollar is already going further:HungaryHungary has long been known as one of Europe’s friendliest, most wallet-friendly countries. It may seem obvious, but your first trip to the country should start in Budapest. The city’s two sides, Buda and Pest, offer a wide array of experiences, from budget restaurants to  indoor/outdoor thermal pools to the beautiful seaside resorts of Lake Balaton. While the country is well-known for goulash (which gets a bit of a bad wrap), the culinary offerings are more extensive than you’ve heard. While the show is all fiction, many of its stunning, storybook backdrops are very real. We’re loath to use the term “can’t-miss”, but Dubrovnik is as must-see as it gets. The stunning medieval city in the country’s far south boasts marble streets, hundred-year-old stone buildings, and a unique, mystical charm all set against the backdrop of the Adriatic Sea. Don’t miss: the UNESCO World Heritage site of Plitvice Lakes National Park — an impossibly beautiful collection of lakes, caves, and waterfalls.Wales, United KingdomOf course, few European destinations have been harder hit by Brexit than the U.K. itself. Wales has fast become a favorite hotspot for adventure travelers seeking an all-in-one destination with a wide variety of outdoor activities. Ziplining, mountain biking, hiking — Wales has it all and then some. Don’t miss: coasteering. This new “sport” explores a destination’s coastline via an extreme combination of cliff-jumping, climbing, and swimming.Czech RepublicWhile Prague is a stunning destination in its own right, there’s more to the Czech Republic than its capital city. Hřensko is a tiny, picturesque village two hours from Prague and serves as the gateway to the country’s spectacular Bohemian Switzerland National Park. This youngest of Czech Republic’s national parks is arguably its most stunning which creates a huge draw for outdoor- and adventure-loving travelers. Don’t miss: Pravčická brána — Europe’s largest sandstone arch that serves as a symbol for the country’s entire national park system. Nest Homeware’s American-Made Cast Iron Pans Are Functional Pieces of Art

The brand hints that,”Nest will be moving into the rest of the home in the coming year – designing furniture, lighting, and other meaningful products to warm and serve your family.” We’ll be on the lookout for new additions to the Nest line and we’ll be the first to let you know about it.Now that you’ve got your sights set on this set of cast-iron cookware, take a few moments to learn how to properly maintain and care for it. Some other cast iron cookware is seasoned with soy and vegetable oil blends and fired at very high temperatures, resulting in the black color,” we’re all familiar with. The pieces’ bronze color offer a striking contrast to the typical black, making Nest Homeware stand out even more brilliantly against neutral countertops or a black, overhead pot rack. Beyond the beauty of the color, though, lies the real star of the show: The nature-inspired, stick and twig-like structure of the cookware’s handles. Expertly designed by Cavallaro, the almost delicate looking twig handles of the Dutch Oven transform a regular old pot into a work of art that not even Le Creuset has attempted. Without changing the basic form or function of the cast iron pans, Nest Homeware was still able to create a very unique and artistic take on these kitchen workhorses by simply stepping just outside of the box when it comes to pot and pan design. For that, we applaud them.Egg Pan – $77 10 Best Crime Documentaries on Netflix Right Now The Best Cast Iron Camping Cookware Next The 4.5-inch egg pan is great for, what else? Cooking eggs.
