Photos by Jeff Barrett Tri-Valley impressed for the second consecutive day with a 12-2 win over Hanford at the 13U Pacific Southwest Regionals Baseball Tournament in Helper on Wednesday. Carbon then beat South Tahoe 11-4 to continue in the tournament. Quade Henrie went 3-3 with a double and three RBIs in the match-up. Tri-Valley and Carbon will play each other at 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.In the night game, the Kai Red Sox and El Segundo participated in a back-and-forth thriller. El Segundo went up 3-1 before the Red Sox tied it at three. Then, El Segundo doubled its score to take a 6-3 lead. The Red Sox responded with two runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull within one. With the same score in the last inning, the tying run was just 90 feet away when the Red Sox struck out to end the game. El Segundo survived and punched their ticket to the championship game on Friday. The Kai Red Sox will play the winner of the Carbon/Tri-Valley game.
